The Verdugo pimp of a hit after a overall putrid play is the perfect representation of the Yankees worship of HRs while ignoring the teams lack of balance. Its easy for people outside NY fandom to see. This team will never dominate anything until they have a GM with a totally different view of baseball.

It’s wild because as bad as the Yankees 1-9 has been and having gotten in to an 0-3 hole. One game was lost in extras - 3 runs; had the lead going into bottom of inning. The other 2? Lost both by 2. They have been very much in these games with a batting order struggling to produce anything. I don’t think it’s over.

The Dodger have a much better/deeper lineup. The Yankees would have struggled with the Mets or Padres as well. It just seemed like the NL postseason teams were playing at a higher level than the AL.

Yanks has 0 chance of coming back from down 3 - 0. They hit poorly with RISP against the Royals and Indians but were lucky those 2 teams were just as bad. This team has a lot of holes. I hope they let Soto walk and spend that $ to balance out the lineup.
