This is exactly what we need to focus on today. The lack of impulse control here is terrifying. This tragic situation took place in under 15 minutes. Austin arrived at 9:54 and was dead by 10:00. My thoughts are with the Metcalf family.

This is SO good. All of it. Especially Point 2. We project our own ethics and upbringing onto others. And we can neither fully anticipate or control their actions. Makes me think of when, as reported, Karmelo Anthony was reaching in the bag, Austin Metcalf said something like, “You don’t have anything. This is Frisco, TX.” What a tragic miscalculation.

On the contrary, teach your kids not to be bullies. Especially in a world quickly reverting to bring back bullying, more bullying, that loves brutal, vicious, violent, merciless bullying. That does everything possible to encourage, reward, & defend the bullies.

Why aren't good men like this leaders in the black communities? The impact they could have in the lives of young kids could literally reshape those communities.

The whole thing is TRAGIC 2 young lives ruined over a few, impulsive seconds from an angry & troubled teen. teens are hormonal, fights happen. If the knife wasn’t there it probably would’ve been just that. 2 young men lost a future it’s tragic. Parental failure sadly

Impulse control and awareness of lack of impulse control in others is just common sense. Regardless of race.
