Why do people in South Korea love Jews so much? I went to Korea and saw something fascinating. Everyone in South Korea reads The Talmud. So I asked Koreans, "Why does everyone here read a Jewish religious book?" It turns out that 50 years ago, Koreans started wondering, "Why are Jewish people successful?" So they took one of the Jewish religious texts, The Talmud, abridged it, and translated it to Korean. They then began teaching The Talmud in schools and even using a Jewish learning technique called Chavruta. So now, I am the only person in Korea who has never read The Talmud, and I am Jewish!
