someone commented that says “work has been really hard these days” and this is what jungwon said to comfort them. 🐈: in times like that, you shouldn’t think too deeply, you have to think lightly. when you’re stressed or dealing with overwhelming tasks, i think, “this won’t kill me anyway”. even when i have back to back all-night schedules, i think, “i won’t die. am i going to die from doing this?” that kind of thing. these days, when i’m doing concerts, i hypnotize myself into thinking i’m strong. even when i go to work out i’m like, “can’t i do this? just go for it.” that’s the vibe i go with. 🐈: honestly, there are tough moments during concerts, but if i let myself slack off there, i can’t forgive myself. i can’t let myself think i’m going to lose to this so i go with the mindset of, “i’ll show them”. if i didn’t think like that, i wouldn’t be able to keep up with concerts for months. it’s about self-hypnosis, telling myself i’m strong.

7 months ago i kept myself awake and starved myself for 3 days to self-induce psychosis and i made this. I am doing alot better now and my life is going really well, im happy to be where i am now and do not want to go back to where i was 7 months ago. What i learned much later is how i now cant make myself replicate this project anymore, i noticed how the mental state ur in affects the art you produce. I dont regret what i did to myself, it gave me a good lesson along the way, and is a good reminder of what i managed to get myself away from

Kelvin Kiarie: I failed to pay for training for three days at Kasarani Stadium, and that’s how I was banned from training there, along with all the other skaters. Now I practice in the basement of my house, yet when I go to compete in places like Singapore or Benin to represent Kenya, I find myself skating in the same kind of stadium as Kasarani, where I’m banned from training.
