finally got around to updating my site to Next.js 15 + Tailwind CSS v4. finally added a dark mode which was quite nice with oklch() + v4 theme vars. i made it greenish to complement my warm light mode. also used View Transition API + svg filter for this theme reveal effect.

🚨 Sound… can create light. Not metaphorically. Literally. In a lab, a tiny bubble in water is hit with sound waves. It collapses so violently… it flashes. This is called sonoluminescence. Energy → pressure → collapse → light. Now zoom out: If vibration can compress matter enough to produce light… what else could emerge from structured oscillation? In my framework: Light = imbalance resolving at extreme density Structure = where energy organizes itself into form So the real question is: Are we looking at a weird lab effect… or a fundamental process happening everywhere?

Nano is a depth-aware atmospheric haze plugin that uses ML depth estimation to add physically accurate fog and light scattering to your footage. Works *best* on log footage with visible light sources - it analyzes scene highlights then creates airlight (atmospheric scatter) and halation (light bloom) that responds to actual depth in the scene. Pretty clever approach to getting that cinematic haze look without having to pump a fog machine on set. Makes the OG Trapcode Shine look extremely dated (basically 2D light streaks masked by luminance values), and is yet way more controllable than the current crop of generative AI video-to-video tools.
