I’m guessing what they mean is that there’s a lot of hype fans have been building on a potential Sinestro Corps, Parallax, Rebirth, or at the very least Hal being alive. From the reactions, I’m assuming none of that’s going to happen

as long as there’s some real action, we have season 2 basically confirmed so i’m okay with waiting, i trust that the writers team has a fleshed out plan for these characters on a grander scale and they’ll do them justice in the end.

Saying that ppl will be mad doesn't exactly mean the finale will be bad though, and with ppls expectations for this series being bigger than the mephisto expectations for wandavision I reckon the only ppl who will be mad are the ppl who need to temper their expectations
