Amazing! “I've had no expectation that there would be burning, looting, riots on the streets, attacks on police officers across America or Britain or the rest of the West. We haven't seen any of that, and we haven't expected any of that and that is because political violence is been normalized on these far extremes of the LEFT. And when you see those people celebrating, what they are expressing is now a widely held opinion particularly among young people on the WOKE LEFT. That if they don't agree with somebody, if they are not getting their way politically, they are entitle to use violence to reach their aims. We took CANCEL CULTURE away from them when Elon Musk took over X and opened up the conversation and forced other social media platforms to open up the conversation, so now instead of using cancel culture, we've got VIOLENCE CULTURE. And everybody has to pull back, and I am not calling for any kind of censorship because censorship will not solve this. But the people who have spent the last decade calling their political opponents fascists, NAZIS and so on....THEY HAVE BLOOD ON THEIR HANDS and they need to look in the mirror now and STOP!*

"people are forgetting that Charlie was not a politician" yes, that is why the grief is so profound. he was gunned down for being a conservative man who just wanted to talk to people.

I am 60 years old. Growing up in the 70’s and 80’s our only social interaction was hanging out. Everyone hung out on the streets, playing fields, garages and sometimes in houses, we fell out, argued and faced up to differing opinions then made up and carried on. Social media has destroyed the art of conversation and debate. Algorithms are feeding isolation and polarisation. I feel so sorry for Millennials and onwards.

I was going to ask, what does labelling people ‘far right fascists’ even achieve? Does it make anyone change their mind on what they stand for? Or does it just perpetuate the division? But it’s worse than that. Because they know it’s radicalising people like this boy, and they know exactly where that’s leading.

Thank you Konstantin. I was hoping you'd also point out that terms like 'child killer,' 'genocide enabler' serve the same purpose as calling people fascist and Nazi. Things that Piers’s dear guests use repeatedly.

They are Marxists. They are Leninists. They are Stalinists. They are Maoists. Perhaps we should start calling them out for what they really are. They are beyond Nazis. Beyond Hitler. Over 100,000,000 deaths.

This is the end result of helicopter parents raising a generation of infantilized snowflakes… catering to them, indulging and excusing their tantrums…hothouse flowers who cannot tolerate anything upsetting. I say screw PC/hate speech laws in any form. Speech is not violence. Shooting people is violence. Free speech uber alles.

There is no comparison between the right and left on this issues. Violence from the left is astronomically disproportionate to what we’ve seen from the right over the past 20 years. Your statement was a concession to pure “whataboutism”.

I don’t believe it’s fair in any way to say that this type of violence occurs on “both sides”. We are witnessing the malignancy of entitlement that has metastasized into violence. I cannot name one “far right” individual in the last four decades that has callously committed violence simply due to disagreement with others words. Who would be an example of this evil on the Right?

Konstantin, fascism does not arrive with a thunderclap. It comes on a stiff breeze, and once the storm arrives, it's too late to fix. I reject both your premise that we are not endangered by incipient fascism, and that those of us who see it coming must silence ourselves because of the actions of a few. Charlie Kirk certainly didn't deserve to die, nor should anyone die for speech in a country in which we have free and fair elections to resolve our political differences. That said: Mr. Trump is not a Nazi. That term is overused by people as a shorthand for "authoritarian". Nazism is an ideology from a particular place and time. Mr. Trump is no Nazi, but he IS a fascist, even if he does not adhere to a coherent political ideology. He is psychologically incapable of admitting loss, and has levied a sustained attack against the integrity of our elections, convincing tens of millions that their vote doesn't count, despite all evidence to the contrary. He has politically purged the nation's security forces and installed inexperienced loyalists who place their loyalty to him over loyalty to the citizens they are there to protect. The gutting of the FBI and transfer of agents from counter-terror to immigration duty may even have killed Charlie Kirk. He has attacked the 4th, 5th, 6th and 8th amendments in his zeal to deport. He has attacked the first amendment rights of universities. While I agree with him on principle in many of his criticisms, gutting scientific research to force compliance in areas of speech is the act of an authoritarian. He has attacked the first amendment rights of the nation's major law firms, transparently extorting from them because of their mere association with people he dislikes. These are the firms with the resources to contest government overreach, and now they are captured. He does everything he can to undermine the legitimacy of the free press, using language harkening back to that of every dictator. And he's been very successful at this, to the great detriment of us all. A free press has the resources to investigate and hold accountable a corrupt government, resources ordinary citizens do not possess. Federal agencies, who are supposed to be nonpartisan servants of the people, regularly post the same anti-press rhetoric upon this very platform. In what sane world does the Department of Homeland Security use the term "fake news"? He regularly attacks the legitimacy of the courts, and his outright ignored rulings through commission or omission. He has captured our legislature o spineless jellyfish, and they have ceded powers to him that the executive has no right to wield. Among those is his imposition, by fiat, of the largest tax increase in the history of the United States via his tariff regime. He has and is threatening to continue deploying the military in a law enforcement role, despite it not being logistically possible to "end crime" in this manner (though eminently possible to station them near polling places in 2026); if he wanted to help, he could send draft legislation to Congress for more police, courts, prisons. Just this week, before the identity or motives of the Kirk shooter were even known, he was placing blame on his perceived political opponents. I could go on. These and more are the actions of a fascist, and if we roll over and silence ourselves to "be nice", it will only strengthen him. Charlie Kirk did not deserve to die. But no, I won't stop speaking.

I haven’t listened to a Joe Rogan podcast in years, but I’ll always be grateful to him. We often don’t realize how many opinions we hold about people we’ve never actually heard speak, forming judgments based solely on what others or the media tell us. When I first discovered Joe Rogan, I listened to his podcasts featuring people I thought I disliked. While I didn’t always agree with them, they became humanized, and I realized most of my opinions about them were completely wrong—shaped by the vague echo chamber of my ideological bubble. Over the past few days, I’ve seen the most dehumanizing, repulsive comments about Charlie Kirk from people who, I’d bet anything, have never once listened to him speak. Their views seem entirely based on what their ideology or thought bubble tells them to believe. It’s astonishing. Stephen King, in my mind, is clearly far left-wing based on the many posts I’ve seen him write on the X platform over the last few years. Yesterday, he posted something disgustingly dehumanizing about Charlie Kirk. Then he had to apologize, saying he didn’t fact-check what he saw on X and just posted it. Really, learn about the people you’re about to dehumanize and justify assassinating.
