Here's what I don't get. Anyone who comes into Canada on a work permit must acknowledge the expiry date on their permit as part of being granted and accepting the permit. So why, when their permit has expired does the Canadian gov't just not put their foot down with "Sorry but your time is up and by staying here you've broken the law." Why the gov't continues to entertain these assholes and spend taxpayer money by fighting this is insane. In no other country would the gov't put up with being walked on like this. In no other country would immigrants march in protest about not being able to stay. It is beyond nuts.

I visited Winnipeg last year and I was shocked to see how many places they had taken over. From the hotel to the local shops, they manned all positions and most of them couldn't complete a coherent sentence. I have no idea which institutions are giving them visas and importing them here without any qualification.
