At the Second International Conference on Combating Antisemitism in Jerusalem, initiated by Minister עמיחי שיקלי - Amichai Chikli, I made one thing clear: antisemitism is not just a Jewish problem. It is a threat to free societies, to democracy, and to our shared civilization. History teaches us that hatred must be confronted early. When antisemitism is tolerated, it spreads. Lies become violence. Israel’s fight today is not only for our own security, but for the values and freedoms of the free world. To Jews everywhere, especially the younger generation: do not bow your head. Stand tall. Speak the truth. When we fight antisemitism with courage and clarity, we defend not only the Jewish people - we defend humanity itself.

Saying that antisemitism is unacceptable has nothing to do with Muslim hatred. It is sad and disappointing that these two topics have been connected for today’s debate in the European Parliament. How cynical! Because we all know who needs protection today and against whom. It is the Jewish schools, musea and synagogues that are guarded. And we all know why. But why is it so difficult to say it? To name the reality? We saw it in the streets here in Europe, calling to destroy the Jews. We saw it in the murders in the Jewish museum in Belgium. We saw it in the celebration of the pogrom in Israel. We saw it in the pressure for the silence kept by international organisations who ignored the pain of Jewish women. The reason why they kept silence is the same reason why whenever you say anything about antisemitism, they want to add Muslim hatred in the conversation or they say that you are a racist. It is the reason why so many European countries use taxpayers’ money to sponsor organisations who pretend to fight racism and Islamophobia but are the tentacles of the Muslim brotherhood, operating here to feed its forces against us in Europe. Today is Shani Louks birthday. She was born on February 7th 2001 and killed on October 7th in Israel. Saying that radical Islam is a threat, has nothing to do with Muslim hatred. To my pro-Israel and American friends: we must stand firmly against radical extremists such as Muslim Brotherhood aligned terrorists but we must not conflate them with Muslims as a whole. I am an Arab Muslim and a proud friend of the Jewish people and the State of Israel. I want to see more Muslims become friends of Israel and actively work toward reconciling Muslim–Jewish relations. When all Muslims are lumped together with extremists, it only leads to isolation, and that is exactly what extremists want. It is better for humanity that Muslims, Jews, and Christians reconcile, cooperate, and build a thriving, peaceful Middle East together. Do not give extremists what they want. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I was humbled to join Temple Israel in West Bloomfield, Michigan, for Shabbat services last night to stand with the Jewish community after a horrific antisemitic terror attack against the synagogue. During my remarks to the congregation, I shared that Israel stands with the community, now and always, just as the community has always stood with Israel. Antisemitism must be confronted, condemned, and combated wherever it appears.

In the wake of the recent violent attacks against Jews, I was proud to stand with my colleagues and Jewish communal leaders this morning to advocate for an increase to the Nonprofit Security Grant Program to protect the physical safety of the Jewish community. While we advocate for this increase in funding, we must also examine the role of our own government in the fight against antisemitism. Unfortunately, when it comes to antisemitism, the Trump Administration has acted as a catalyst, not a deterrent. If President Trump were serious about fighting antisemitism he could start by firing known antisemites in his administration and stop using antisemitism as a tool in the pursuit of partisan political gain.

”When Hamas attacked Israel, people went out to celebrate. When Israel started attacking Gaza, the entire Arab and Muslim communities went out on the streets everywhere to say "We need a ceasefire." I immediately thought, ”Why do you care about Arabs getting killed now? When you were completely silent and did not say a single word when hundreds of thousands of Yemenis were getting killed?" The main reason is the perpetrators being Jewish. Because in the Arab and Muslim world, there is absolutely nothing more disgusting than to be Jewish or homosexual. The only thing I ever learned about Jews and Israelis is to hate them. In mosques, I heard that Jews and Israelis need to be murdered. This is the consensus recitation by the Imams. We normalize the language of hatred and violence towards Jews and Israelis. I remember as a child questioning this and thinking to myself, ”But why?” So, I wanted to come here and listen to the Jews and the people. It is such a beautiful country, and the people are so kind and loving. As I see it, the reason for this Arabic hypocrisy of silence when Arabs are killed by other Arabs, and loud revolutions when Gaza is attacked, is anti-semitism. A hatred towards Jews that we learn since birth. Blame the Jews. Blame the others – and direct your anger and resentment towards the Jews and the Westerners, instead of looking internally and trying to better yourselves."
