Yet, despite everything, they still wag their tails, look at us with hope, and wait for someone to show them a little love. They cannot tell us when they are hungry. They cannot explain how much they hurt. They cannot ask for help in words. They have no one to complain to, no one to fight for them, and often no place to call home. For many of them, a bowl of food, a gentle touch, a little water, or a moment of compassion can mean the difference between despair and hope. Kindness costs nothing, but to a homeless animal, it can mean everything. Please choose compassion over indifference. Choose love over hate. Feed them when you can. Offer water during hot days. Yet somehow, they continue to shower us with love, trust and affection. Look at this sweet dog simply trying to get a little love and affection from passing passengers. He isn't asking for much—just a gentle touch, a little attention and perhaps a moment of kindness. They are truly bundles of unconditional love. For a community dog, finding food every day can be a struggle. Finding someone who will stop, show kindness and treat them with compassion can be an even bigger challenge. A lot of people assumed the worst when they first saw this. Two tiny fawns were curled up in the middle of the road, doing exactly what their instincts told them to do when frightened: stay still and hide. Thankfully, a driver spotted them in time, stopped, and gently encouraged them off the pavement before anything could happen. It’s easy to forget how vulnerable young wildlife can be. One minute they’re almost invisible in the grass, the next they’re sitting in the middle of a roadway with no idea how dangerous it is. 3 INNOCENT PUPPIES DUE TO BE PUT TO SLEEP LAST FRIDAY 💔💔💔💔 💔 Three innocent little babies were due to be put to sleep, simply because they are pit bulls and nobody wanted them. 💔 We couldn’t let that happen. We took them in, and just look at those faces, so innocent, so gentle. They deserved a chance at life. When they arrived, they were covered in fleas, scared, and clearly neglected. One of the boys, Mason, was very sick. Thanks to the amazing team at Raheny Vets, he was put on a drip and cared for immediately. We’re so relieved to say this little mite is doing so much better now 🐶❤️ Rescues like this come at a huge cost. A Little Dog and a Giant Tumor ❤️‍🩹✨ On the streets, a stray dog wandered with a frail body and a massive tumor attached to him. People passed by without stopping until one kind-hearted person came along. They gently took him in and rushed him to a veterinary hospital. The veterinarians performed surgery to remove the tumor. It was a difficult operation, but thankfully, it was a success. In the days that followed, he was surrounded by devoted care: medicine, nourishing meals, and the warmth of genuine compassion. Unwilling to ignore it, they began digging around the place where the cries seemed to be coming from and discovered a mother dog buried in the mud, with two newborn puppies beside her. The three of them are believed to have been trapped for nearly three days without food or water. The puppies were trembling, their bodies covered in mud, while the mother remained trapped and unable to free herself. The rescuers quickly brought them out. They washed the mud from the two puppies, dried them with towels and wrapped them in cloth to keep them warm. Immediately after being rescued, the mother dog broke down in tears. She stood close to her puppies, watching as they were cleaned and kept warm, while her faint cries could still be heard. No one can know exactly what the mother dog was feeling. But after nearly three days trapped in the mud, perhaps those cries were a mixture of stress, exhaustion and relief that she and her puppies had finally escaped the danger.
