They aren't HOLDING BACK! "Seems to me that Tennessee State University, the HBCU school that would not let the student or they done something on campus when the student want to set a table up and they acted a FOOL baby." "Why y'all ain't acting a FOOL for them grades?!" "Can you imagine being PROUD that only 15 to 16% of everybody in the WHOLE SCHOOL actually graduates?"

How desperate is the situation in their community.. Today, we inaugurated two projects in Awbarre District of Faafan Zone: 1) Awbarre Technical and Vocational Training College (built with a total cost of 218 million Birr); and 2) Sheed-dheer Boarding School (built with a total cost of 138 million Birr). Sheed-dheer Boarding School is already providing service, while Awbarre TVET College will start operations at the start of the new fiscal year, i.e., September 2026. Sheed-dheer Boarding School is one of 11 Boarding schools constructed by Somali Regional State after the 2018 political reform. The region now has a total of 18 boarding schools, and the objective is to use these institutions to improve the quality of education in the region. We also visited 3 ongoing projects in the district (namely, Awbarre water supply project, Sheed-dheer water supply project, and Awbarre primary hospital), all of which are planned to be completed within six months. These water and health projects are implemented with a total cost of around 1.2 billion Birr.
