Worked there in 98, Golden Gate bar in the West End. 7 days a week of work all season. Lost 4 stone. Slept not much. Drank and smoked too much. Mitsubishis and Doves. Not a mobile phone in sight. The BEST time.

Jose Padilla sunsets at Cafe del mar. Oakenfold doing his residency at Amnesia with Cream. Bar M was brilliant too. Pacha in the old town also. Got too commercialised not long after. Completely different now. All about selling beds for the day with €€€€ bottles of vodka.

Come on , THE only song that mattered in ‘98 was Stardust’s ‘ Music sounds better with you ‘ , why’s that not been shown !?!?!?! People were literally leaving their drinks at the bar in Amnesia when this came on !!!!!!!

None, because you can’t better this year, 98 was when trance and euphoria went god mode! Which would ultimately give birth to one the best sound tracks ever produced - Kevin and Perry go Large!
