Update on Lahaina. Hundreds of homes have been completely taken by fire. The people are suffering. There are not enough supplies. There is not enough food, water, gas or propane. There are people who have attempted to bring supplies and they have been turned away. The federal government has denied access at the roadblocks. And if they want to leave, they can’t because of the lack of gas. Meanwhile, Biden has continued to send billions of dollars to another country. But has left his own country in the dust.

For those that feel disappointment when not getting the results they want: -There are steps to success. When you play, you are working towards a goal and there are always steps to it! TCGs are a sport to me. My life revolves around them and I train to be the best that I can be physically and mentally. But regardless of preparation or skill level, there will be bad days. -Some days you are able to be successful and some days you are not. Sometimes it is your day and sometimes it is not. It’s natural to be upset. I’ve cried many times after a big loss because I care so much. But if you’ve given everything you had and have a bad round, a bad day, a bad tournament, or a bad stretch of tournaments, then it was not a failure. Failure is when you didn’t put in maximum effort or try in the first place. Michael Jordan played 15 seasons and won 6 championships. His other 9 seasons were not a failure. They were steps to his success. Cutting to a single elimination top 64 from 2000 players after only 9 rounds is extremely unforgiving. Just because that 3% succeeded, does not mean the other 97% have failed. Make no mistake about it, those who consistently succeed do not get there by accident. They earn it. But again, regardless of work ethic or talent, there will be good days and bad days. You have to bounce back and keep trying! IF you are putting in the work then every tournament is you taking the steps to work towards your goals. I encourage you to be honest with yourself about your preparation but not be hypercritical and view everything as a failure. There are plenty of unbelievably talented players that have not yet made a Lorcana Top cut and if you are in this group then you are in good company

For the past number of days, our country has been brought to a standstill. Not by chaos without cause, but by people pushed to the edge. Farmers, workers, drivers, families, ordinary Irish people have taken to the roads, to the streets, to the gates of this nation’s lifelines because the cost of simply living has become too much to bear. They are not there for attention. They are there because they cannot afford not to be. Fuel prices have surged to unsustainable levels, driven by global crises and policies beyond the control of ordinary people. And yet, it is the ordinary people who are expected to carry the burden. They tell us support has been given. They tell us measures are in place. They tell us to be patient. But patience does not fill a tank. Patience does not keep a business alive. Patience does not put food on the table. Across Ireland, roads have been blocked, cities brought to a halt, and supply lines disrupted. Fuel depots, ports, even the country’s only oil refinery have been targeted in protest. Not out of malice but out of desperation. And now we see the response. The government condemns the protests. They speak of disruption, of law and order, of consequences. They warn of penalties and even bring in the Defence Forces to assist. But where was this urgency before? Where was this response when people were crying out for help? We ask not for chaos. We ask not for division. We ask for fairness. We ask for a government that listens before the country grinds to a halt. We ask for action before people are forced onto the streets to be heard. Because let us be clear: These protests did not appear out of nowhere. They are the result of years of pressure, rising costs, and people feeling ignored. You, in government, we ask you now!!
