There's no mandatory requirement to label products as “precision-bred” or “gene-edited” for consumers. Public registers of confirmations and authorisations exist, but everyday shoppers may not easily identify them. 🤬

Fear porn... READ the legislation, nothing has changed. Gene editing such as CRISPR were already being used in scientific research and plant breeding. In English law, that came under GMO rules. This Act just makes the rules clearer for modern biotech. Nothing changes.
