They called it “nation building.” Now it’s just saving the billionaire next door! When global lenders turned away from Adani, it wasn’t private investors who stepped in — it was your money in LIC. As per The Washington Post, nearly $3.9 billion from LIC was funneled into Adani Group...

"Constipated." That is the word now being used for the private credit market. And it is exactly what this looks like. The private credit story is changing. For months it was framed as a liquidity problem. Investors trying to pull their money out. That is still a huge problem. BlackRock just had a couple of funds suffering big runs. But there is a bigger one. It is no longer just the investors who want out. It is the investors outside who no longer want in. And that is the much bigger story. Because the private credit boom was built on flows. Constant inflows from wealth managers, pensions, insurance companies, and the general public. That is how big it got. The machine has to keep moving. Money comes in. Loans get made. Funds grow. Redemptions get handled. Managers collect their fees. Everyone pretends it is calm because the marks are smooth and the exits are limited. Now the machine is reversing. Reuters reported US direct lending issuance in the three months ending May was down roughly 40% from the first quarter. Issuance to private-equity-backed borrowers dropped nearly 37%. Volume tied to leveraged buyouts fell about 34%. So this is no longer just a redemption story. The exits are clogged. New money is hesitant. Sellers will not cut prices, and buyers will not pay yesterday's valuations. Credit funds are handling redemptions. Leveraged loans are showing strain. And publicly traded BDCs are not rebounding, even as the broader market soars. So the question is no longer whether investors are still withdrawing. They are, and it is accelerating. It is not about the people inside who want out. It is about the people outside who no longer want in. That is the bigger problem. It pushes us deeper into stage two, and the odds of stage three go up from here.

Adam Carolla notices that the liberals who supported the BLM riots are now getting a taste of their own medicine as their homes are being looted: Adam Carolla: "So the National Guard has pulled in because there's been lots of stories about lots of looting, because we live in Sodom and Gomorrah times here in Los Angeles. So we've called the National Guard and the fine people of Santa monica and Malibu and the Palisades are very happy that the National Guard is now here protecting their homes and their valuables and their property and stopping arsonists who are copycat arsonists, who are starting and trying to light more fires and being successful. But when BLM was burning everything to the fucking ground in Seattle and in Chicago and in Portland, you post these were against the National Guard being called in because it wasn't your shit that was on fire and it wasn't your store that was being looted and it wasn't your house that was being looted. That was somebody else's. So during the entire BLM riots, when everything was being burned to the ground, well, those were just business owners who may have lived in the Portland area so they can fuck off because you're too busy virtue signaling and taking a stand. And God forbid Trump suggest that the National Guard be called in to these cities, you are dead set against it. Citizens of Santa monica, because you're so much better than we are. But now that it's your shit that's getting looted. Well, now you're happy to see the boys in uniforms that are cordoned off your neighborhood with your precious shit in it that you don't want to see stolen or burned to the ground. You didn't give a fuck when this was going on. In every blue city in the United States, you were all against it. Well, now it's your city and you love it. So think about that. Fuckin hypocrites." The same people who chanted 'Defund the police' to cheer on looters, are now begging for the police to protect their homes from looters.

Oprah Winfrey said she called Meghan Markle in early 2018 asking for an interview and was told “it wasn’t the right time.” Now it’s being spun as if the palace blocked it. If Oprah was so interested in Meghan, what stopped her from interviewing her before Harry was even in the picture? Where was that interest when Meghan was just another working actress trying to make it? Where was the sit-down when she was deep in Suits, far from global headlines? No one needed palace permission back then. No one was “banned.” No palace. No restrictions. No “people in the room.” No one to “block” anything. You want to blame the palace as if it was some kind of silencing move, but you fail to understand that instead it exposes what this really is. Meghan Markle was simply not someone Oprah was prioritising for a major sit-down. Nor was Meghan Markle relevant enough for that level of attention. It’s also interesting how Meghan frames it as not being “allowed” to speak privately, with others present, as if that’s unusual. She was about to marry into one of the most scrutinised institutions in the world. Of course communications are structured. That’s not some shocking revelation, that’s standard. Then comes the key line. “Now we can speak freely.” “Now I can say yes.” So what changed? It only became “the right time” once she had the global platform, the title, and the leverage that came with the royal connection. You can’t rewrite this into a story about being silenced by the palace when the timeline shows something much simpler. The demand wasn’t there before Harry. The value wasn’t there before the royal family connection. And suddenly, after everything, we’re supposed to believe this was always about “not being allowed” rather than finally having something to sell. Let that sink it.
