They crafted a masterpiece with this one

I won't hold you fam that dude from Gen 3 was singing his ass off during this era

How is this how I find out they all sung by the same dude 😭

Yeah he pretty much did the vocals for all the songs for Gen 2 and 3. Here's season 4 theme which is a banger remake of the original theme

IM UNBEATABLE

The “OOHHHH” in the beginning in 100% guaranteed goosebumps

Damn, early Dub intros were peak as hell

The 4kids ones were solid The TPCi ones are 50/50 depending on the person The Goldfarb ones are unanimously ass imo

“From the earth, the land, the sea, and sky they can never win but they sure can try”

Hoenn is fire, but tbh, this one in the anime and Arceus movie were just absolute fire. I get chills every time.

The extended version is beautiful

Peak fr

Nah this

>Hoenn OPs

PEEEEAAAAAAAK

I can't quite remember. Who was that again? Did it play a role in the anime, or does it only appear in the intro?

Apparently Mewtwo based on the shot in the Jirachi movie (it gets confused with a certain Scizor but that episode doesn’t come out until over a year later and the opening changed by then)

"From the stars and the ancient past, they come to play but they never last"

I remember they first aired this and forgot to censor Muchlax and Weavile before they were revealed outside Japan lmao.

That one and Master Quest are probably the best two.

4kids making their Pokemon intros like

POV it’s third grade and it’s a Saturday morning in August and you just came inside from playing outside with your buddy and mom made sandwiches and popsicles. Pop on the tv and the first thing you’d hear at 11am is: “WOAHHHHHHOHHHHOAAAHHHHH IM UN-DEFEAT-ABLE”

Galactic battles opening is so fuckin good

I just now realized its called "Advanced battle" because we were in the Gameboy Advance era....

Looking at this makes me dislike OP after the BW series even more, because not only the songs lacklusters, but also the visuals were so random that they don't fit with lyrics.

when those harmonies came in on “we’ll never give in we’ll never rest” i knew this was a HIT

so much better than the overrated s1 op

They put some 80’s era coke into this hit

I never even ever noticed lucario or munchlax in the opening until they were reveal in pearl/diamond lol!

People always debating on which anime has the best openings, but real ones know it’s Pokemon. Only reason people forget is because it’s not considered Shonen

This, Pokémon Johto and Born to be a Winner are tied for the GOATs

Ohhhh my favorite! Emerald with the battle frontiers. 🔥🔥🔥

Battle Frontier is my personal favorite

best opening ever

Year after year of Ash declaring his unending drive to go to the heights of regions and face their greatest challenges, and he wins it to vacation music.

The raw energy hoenn has needs to be studied

one for me has GOT to be sinnoh league victors! it makes me shed tears of joy every time i watch it! for me, it's basically EVERYTHING i love about the franchise summed up in one intro!

The Hoenn series cooked with their OPs

Memories unlocked

Right in the childhood memories 🥲
