Donating blood is voluntary but the act of drawing blood from the body is not free. There’s a laundry list of costs. Salaries, processing costs, consumables, transportation, electricity, rent and keeping the blood safe.

You know when I found this out what drove me crazy? Even if you are a regular donner and you absolutely need the blood, you aren’t exempt from paying. You’ll pay full price like the rest of the people 😭😭😭

I used to be a regular donator, I then decided to ask questions 1day while donating and found out that I will also need to pay if I need blood but I am giving mine for free. That was it! And encourage people to STOP donating their blood.

Guys you donate blood with hepatitis B,so the blood banks are supposed to give the blood as is to the hospitals? That blood needs get purified before it is send to Hospitals... It costs money Don't stop saving lives!!❤️👍🏾

They just open a fence for their sick citizens to jump over & get Healthcare in SA, even for blood infusion, as if SA manufactures blood. Their citizens have gallons of blood in their bodies , they should just suck it out of them or ask us to help to do so. Even on our homes, if you don't have food, you don't just open the door & push your kids to go & eat next door.
