Um, he was White. His father was Punic Carthaginian and his mother was Roman. He was just born in Libya. He wasn't an "African Roman Emperor". That's like assuming a Black person born in Japan is ethnically Japanese.

Berber, not black

Rest

We waz Roman emperors and sheeiittt 😂😂

Y’all got anymore of that History we can steal?

He was born in Africa. He wasn’t black. WTF

He literally looked like a modern day Moroccan

He wasn’t sub-Saharan black. North Africans are darker complexioned than Northern Europeans, but are recognizably Caucasian.

Septimus Severus was African the same way Elon Musk is African.

😂 Er, Classical Civilisation degree here. They don't teach you that because it is 100% untrue and easily debunked. Why bother with these lies? No one with the vaguest clue about Rome in that period could believe that.

North Africans aren't sub-Saharan pretty simple not the same species at all

There were more black emperors in Rome.

He was half Roman and half Punic, he wasn’t a sub-Saharan African.

We was kangz and shiet.

😂😂😂😂 clearly you know nothing of the history of the man or human geography lol

She seems hungry

Ethnicity: His father, Publius Septimius Geta, was of Punic (Carthaginian) descent — essentially part of the Semitic-speaking peoples, similar to Phoenicians. His mother, Fulvia Pia, was of Roman (Italian) descent, from a well-off family in central Italy.

What can this do for us, if we can build roads, water system and proper infrastructure with all our resources? Let's stop replying on past glories and focus on how to elevate Africa from economic poverty. Innovative thinking and political will is what's needed.

North African like Egyptian, like Morrocan not like Cameroon.

Just saying....

He wasn't a black man, he was of mixed Punic (Carthaginian), Berber, and Roman descent, so his skin may have been olive or blown. The one thing we know for sure, he wasn't black and most likely looked Arab-Berber if applying modern terms.

When i heard this a few years ago, I was as surprised as her, but it was beautiful to hear as well. It's been shoulders up ever since. They tried to erase us from history books, but the evidence are just all around us. That is why they are afraid of a black man inquisitive mind

The winners write the history book. Looks like whitey won. 🏆

North African ... not Sub-Saharan 😂

This is so sad and thirsty. He was white not black

More Jews lying to their slaves

This is him.

They actually do, you just didn't pay attention There was also Italian, Spanish, North African, thracian, Arabian, illyrian, Greek, Balkan, etc. Rome was huge, therefore very diverse And I'd argue Marcus Aurelius Severus wasn't bad but he wasn't great, definitely top 10

Just because the Roman Empire stretched into Africa, doesn't mean that colonizers living there were black.

Because it's not true.

so Elon Musk is black I am assuming

He wasn’t black 😂😂😂 morons

25% Punic (Phoenician, Middle-Eastern), 25% Berber (North-African White), 50% Italo-European. Just saying.

Uhhhhmmm, no. This idiot never left his house. Have you ever met a Tunisian? Ask them what they thinknof this😂
