Almost 25-30 #Dalit families residing at Malligacheri, Villivakkam #Chennai have been forced to be evicted by the DMK government . The people have been residing here over 6 generations for almost a century and they have been asked to vacate according to a case filed by a Marwari business man who has bought a nearby property. The people are daily wage labourers in extreme poverty and they have not been given any replacement house to shift and are forced to vacate . This morning the officials came with JCB to demolish the shops and houses in the vicinity. And due to the protest by the residents and DYFI members they have given a grace period of 15 days . It is so sad that Indigenous Dalits don't have a place of their own in this city and residents allegedly say the North Indian guy wants them out of his sight due to Untouchability. How can the DMK even do this when the election code of conduct is in place ? Who will stop this CMOTamilNadu ??? Why are you so unkind to the poor Dalits ? NHRC India National Commission for Scheduled Castes

Chennai corporaton has decided to privatize sanitation work so that anyone can do it. Dalit Orgs of Tamil Nadu are now protesting because they WANT to keep doingsanitation work and not let others take part in it. Why do you think Dalit organizations are protesting this decision? Remember, the upper caste dalits protest to keep sanitation work largely with Dalit community so that they can then use statistics like "90% sanitation workers are dalits". This keeps the victim hood going on forever. This forms the base of asking more reservations, more budget and more SC ST ACT. They play both sides. YOU, believe ambedkarites and RSS and take GUILT. What a fraud since the last 79 years under the guise of social justice!!!! Happy #IndependenceDay
