I've visited Islamic countries that actually allow Christians to practice and spoken to many Christians and Muslims. Egypt is a good illustration of the great public pretence that everyone gets along. Egypt is an example of Islamic domination and its rejection of indigenous people and their faith. Coptic Christians are the original Christian community in Egypt, having ancestral ties to the ancient Egyptians and the pharaohs. They are persecuted, fearful of Islam and treated like second-class citizens in their ancient homeland.
