Ngl if you think about the built up Luffy made so many smile across the sea. He freed nearly all his crew from their terrible past and made them smile. Chopper brook and jibie all faced terrible things and wad in the dark but he showed up and brought them into the light

I love how perfect his fruit is for him. Like you would be hard pressed to find someone better matched to their fruit than Luffy and his. Plus, it chose him. It evaded the govt and anyone else eating it for 800 years, but when it sensed a silly lil guy, it said, “I want that one”
