they made the Covenant feel absolutely terrifying and never did anything like it ever again.

Forward Unto Dawn is such a good fuckin movie. Starting off relatively slow and the suddenly shit his the fan near the end. Then 15 year old Chief assasninates a Hunter with a grenade

I reaaally wish we could see something like this again with the Infinite/CE designs with them being far more colourful, sharper, and standing upright, I feel that'd make them scarier and more alien looking than the brutish depiction from this era

If we ever got a live-action Halo tv show, the perspective should be told from a regular human like FUD did. Sgt. Johnson. A man who saw the beginning and end of the war would be perfect.

i loved this cause they actually used sounds and voices from Halo 4 and the show didnt this movie will always be better than that slop from Hollywood but the icing on the cake for this scene would have been the Halo 3 piano as soon as cheif shows up

I wish we got the human perspective in this franchise more often, being vulnerable and having no answers to the covenant problem other than desperate survival. I still want a flood game where you’re a regular human as well

Master Chief only appears for a few minutes in the end of the movie, and still the film keeps you immerse in it without the presence of S117. Absolute master piece

Show overall sucks but the first encounter with the Covenant in the TV show is pretty great. Plasma just ripping people apart.

FoD just proved Spartans don't need to be the main focus of a Halo show or film to be good

Maybe Dr Halsey was right about the Spartan program, maybe its the same failure as King Leonidas against Persia.

They need to make a horror oriented halo game, be a survivor trying to evacuate and is constantly hunted, not by the best of the best covenant soldiers, but by grunts, Jackals and brutes, the species who brutalize humans

it was objectively very mid, tbh but I appreciate it for understanding that halo is meant to be part horror, and it did a good job pacing itself and building up to the covenant attack.
