They really cast Nicolas Cage as John Madden, when they had Frank Caliendo right there to play the part.

@FrankCaliendo John Madden was 6'4". Frank Caliendo is 5'7" and not so much an actor as he's a comedian/impressionist (damn good one too). Nic Cage is 6'0" and a well-known and quite accomplished actor. So they cast someone who could physically embody Madden rather than just sound like him.

@FrankCaliendo This is the biggest reason this movie will fail. Cage sounds nothing like Madden in the clip. Madden’s popularity stems from his presence in the booth. I’m 57 y/o and really know nothing of his coaching career other than he won a SB and is in the HoF. Who is this movie targeting?
