They really doing everything to make John Stewart look like the lamest Green Lantern of all time.

John Stewart made aura look effortless. He was also clapping Hawkgirl's cheeks. The man was an actual legend.

My green lantern eats HAWK, elephant, cheetah and rhino!

At once

This is the John I remember 😎

Became a vegan because of childhood trauma and hooks up with grannies because he developed a mother complex. But when we express that we do not like this lame version, we're racists.

It's funny that this had more nuance than the HBO series Which was as blunt as a hammer. There is more to the black experience than just racial grievance. There's more to being black than just whining about systemic oppression. If our culture is nothing more than us arguing and complaining about another person's culture, then it's not much of a culture at all. That's what I liked about Justice League. It showed black culture for what it is, not what it isn't when Compared to another culture.

yeah and nowadays if you wrote him like this, youd be called a racist

Comic book fans are the most miserable fan base out there 😂 never pleased and always disappointed

Is cool as JLU John is… he was written as a token. New John is the story, and he a mf weapon without the ring. Wait til he get that mf.

Dcau John had so much cool factor

Why are y’all gassing this up? It’s alright it just shows he comes from a poorer neighborhood 2026 John also grew up in a similar neighborhood and moved out of it with the diamond the guardians gave Idk why you right wingers are so offended over this, grow up

Episode 3 btw

Don’t give that nigga the rock NO MORE

Cartoon John pulls 3 of the hottest women in DC Animated Universe.... Live Action 'eats off another man's Bar B Q.'

Lame? He's just straight edge, damn.

Every time I see this, I think about this

The "show, not tell" on this episode is brilliant. The weight of his responsibilities, the discretion and precision of a veteran, the psychological distance he puts between himself and his neighbors, the burden of the consequences of his actions. Amazing.

Let them try, that brick from lanterns will never be better than the jlu version and the original from the comics.

they really named this episode “in blackest night” lmao

stop crying. I'd go vegan too if every Burger tasted like brains and gunpowder.

The show isn't even finished and he's not even Green Lantern yet

😭💔💔💔

John's always been the weakest of the human lanterns. Only being replaced by Simon who they didn't even try to adapt in anything. Jessica's never been adapted faithfully but at least she has something going on with overcoming fear in her backstory. John's just eh.

Wtf him stopping a robber has to do with john stewert being vegan ?

John "Shaft" Stewart

To me, John Stewart embodies the image of a cool guy. When I was a kid, I didn't know his name, so whenever he appeared, I just called him the "BLACK cool guy"

It was an excellent scene. Showed contrast in his life - as he comes off so cool and together on the league and in the core, but it’s home where he’s a fish out of water. A lot of nuance and depth. Ironically far superior to the blunt as a baseball bat writing of the new show.

The actors really doing a lot of the heavy lifting of making the character lame as fuck his performance is bland as shit every time he's on screen I feel like I'm going to die of boredom. They should have got that everybody hates Chris guy from Abbott

Takes more to not eat meat than it does to

yall hate the show fr?

Comic book John=GOAT status JLU John= badass personified #Lanterns John= WTF DID THEY DO?!?

whats so lame about him...?

That's just who bro have you seen the series or the damn show

They will NEVER show a black character stealing from another black character, since in their eyes, black people don't steal, not even in fiction.

Not when Simon baz exist
