I watched a documentary on this. The prisoner was asked the question "What if an inmate hurts one of the cats"? He answered, "He would not make it to tomorrow, prison justice"

That is a program I can 100% get my head around and I would pay extra taxes for their food and litter

Outstanding, I hope this program goes global in every prison but also in nursing homes, we need to connect and if we can’t connect with other human beings, then animals are the best for us. Great show of redemption and worth.

Prison gardens have also helped to reduce recidivism rates. Taking care of plants and animals is good for rehabilitation.
