I only wanted to look at the replies to get some context on where/when this happened, which you could do at one point on this platform. Now, the replies are all irrelevant videos from spammy accounts just trying to maximize engagement. X sucks these days.

Rogue wave. Rogues, called 'extreme storm waves' by scientists, are those waves that are greater than twice the size of surrounding waves, are very unpredictable, and often come unexpectedly from directions other than prevailing wind and waves. The wave struck as onlookers had gathered at Pierpont Beach in the city of Ventura to watch the high surf caused by a large offshore storm system. Video recorded by Colin Hoag shows people first casually watching as the wave breaks and barrels toward a short brick wall at the dead-end of Seward Avenue. When it becomes clear the wave isn’t stopping, they turn and run for their lives.

Cala Luna, in the Gulf of Orosei, is one of the most scenic beaches on the eastern coast of Sardinia.
