Britain has more civil servants per capita than Communist China. In 1900, they governed one third of the world with 50,000 civil servants. India, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, large parts of Africa. Today they have 550,000 civil servants and govern just Britain. That's 10x more. Hospital waiting lists are longer than ever. Roads full of potholes. Trains don't run on time. But they added 150 new government agencies in ten years while claiming to cut costs. More bureaucrats, less results, higher taxes.
