They work for you (sometimes)

They don’t work for us at all. No one can do a decent job while taking on two or three other jobs that are more lucrative. Their focus will be on their pockets. So in fact their MP work is just a cover, just somewhere to put their grimy feet up and ruin others lives.

Spatchcock said he was going to donate his jungle money to charity. When pressed, he said he’d given £10,000 of it. It turns out that’s his ‘day rate’. Or perhaps saying “ten thousand pounds” is such a habit, he can’t help saying it. It’s like Tory Tourette’s.

They are shameless. Even when they're caught out. Morality and ethics, non existent.

James O’Brien hit the nail on the head. ‘It’s the idea they think they’re worth it’. I’m not against people becoming rich at all, but it’s that they want a huge salary despite having a history of causing untold damage in their previous and/or current employment.

Great work from #ledbydonkeys. There are probably some genuinely decent politicians who want to improve society but all too often, many seem to treat being an MP as just another grift, another way to get their snouts in the trough. #havetheynoshame
