One time in Florida we were driving back from the park after sunset. I noticed something moving slowly across the road. It was an opossum that had been hit by a car. It wasn’t fully dead. It was coughing up blood, and struggling to breathe. I couldn’t bring myself to run it over with the car to put it out of its misery. The next day I went back, and saw vultures eating its carcass. That was funnier than this skit.

I literally laughed harder at my own circumcision.

Soooooooo…I guess “cringe” equals “funny” nowadays. What a pointless skit. I don’t like how these clips randomly pop up in my social media feeds but they do help justify my having stopped watching @nbcsnl many years ago. Not funny, not insightful, not even imaginative. All these actors just seem to conduct themselves with the attitude “we have to be here to fill in the time, so we’ll do some stuff, then we’ll make some money, then we’ll go to some parties, then we’ll all be famous and meet famous people, and we’ll be better than everyone else, then tell the unimportant people to do stuff we don’t want them doing and we’ll be the cool people that another generation of people want to be!” Such nonsense.

Damon is a terrible actor. But that had nothing to do with why this was so incredibly unfunny. That had to deal with the writers who are apparently atrocious.
