I love this moment so much! Like how Sonic was going to speak up, but realized it wasn't his place to. Knuckles relating to Sonic's freedom and the Koco's past, Sonic being a good friend, their fun rivalry... it's all so good.

By far my favorite scene in the game. Ares Island in general is a treat but I especially love this moment

"You may be the last, but you’re not alone. You got us, knucklehead"

Their relationship means so much to me

That little tiny moment where Sonic goes to speak but stops himself and lets Knuckles speak first lives rent free in my head. It's such a perfect encapsulation of why Sonic is so good in this game. There's a patience to him that wasn't there before.
