I knocked on 75 doors today and talked to 2 dozen voters today. After I explained to them what was at stake for this election in WI on April 1st. They told me immediately they are going to vote for Brad Schimel Team Schimel coming up. I also sent 235 postcards out this week to voters. I got another 165 postcards on hand. I just got my stamps today so the rest of that will be sent out this week. My business letters will be coming on Monday and Tuesday. I got 700 of them because I would love to add a personal touch to it because we have a lot on the line here in this election and I don't voters sitting at home. If the voters sit at home. It's a vote for Susan Crawford. I don't want that. I am putting a ton of urgency and effort into all of this. I did text 350 people this week and most of all of them are going to be voting for Schimel. I had a few liberals, but I just shrug it off because If their not gonna stop drinking the dems coolaid. I really can't help them. It's up to them. Ellis Dukehart just announce the Scott Presler's Early Vote Action is up and running again so everyone should be able to download the app and start doing what I am doing. I don't want WI to be the next Illinois. I don't want the democrats to wreck havoc and to put a fresh coat of blue paint on our state in the midterms and in 2028. I am doing all I can. Or they're AI marketing slop toys that promise to read my mind and pump out garbage. They just don't get the real work of writing and they don't get me. I want a clean, focused space with a real AI co-pilot. I don't need it to do the all the writing for me, just like I don't need Claude Code to do all the code for me. I want to work with it. I want a writing partner that acts like a full writing team on-call 24X7: proofreading, fact-checking, and running deep research in the background while I focus on the hard parts. I'm tired of cutting and pasting between a dozen tools so I started writing this thing. But won't the big guys just build something like this? Sure. But it will just bolt your ass into their ecosystem. Google Docs will force Gemini on you. Whatever office suite OpenAI pumps out will only use GPT. I want to use any model. Open or closed. They're commodities. The app is the thing. I want the best tool for the job, GPT-5, Kimi, Qwen, Claude, whatever comes tomorrow. I want a fluid, flexible workspace. I'm building this thing for people who've got critical thinking and who build, who don't want to outsource every damn thing to the machine. Sam Altman just handed every startup founder a one-question autopsy. Altman: “If you’re building something on GPT-4 that a reasonable observer would say we’re going to steamroll you.” Not might. Not could. Going to. He said it with the calm of someone describing weather. Because to him it is weather. The model improves. Whatever was built on the old version’s weaknesses gets washed away. That is not strategy. That is erosion. And most founders are building on the erosion line. They find a gap in the current model. They wrap a product around it. They raise money. They hire. They scale. Then OpenAI releases the next version and the gap closes and the product has no reason to exist anymore. Altman: “When we just do our fundamental job, which is make the model better with every crank, then you get the ‘OpenAI killed my startup’ meme.” He is telling you directly. They are not hunting you. They are not even thinking about you. They are just improving the model. You happen to be standing where the improvement lands. That is the part founders refuse to hear. OpenAI does not need to compete with you. It just needs to keep doing exactly what it was already doing and your entire company disappears as a side effect. You are not a competitor. You are a temporary symptom of incomplete intelligence. The moment the intelligence completes you become nothing. Then Brad Lightcap delivered the cleanest diagnostic ever spoken in venture capital. Lightcap: “Ask if a 100x improvement in the model is something they’re excited about.” One question. The entire investment thesis reduced to a single binary. Does the next model make your company more powerful or does it make your company pointless. There is no middle ground. A company so deeply built on intelligence improving that every day the model stays the same is a day someone dies who did not have to. They are not building on a flaw. They are building on a future that has not arrived fast enough. That is the difference. The wrapper startup patches what the model cannot do today. The real company builds what the model will unlock tomorrow. One is running from the train. The other is laying the track. Altman told you the train is not slowing down. Yesterday, My siblings and I made stickers and flyers (with a QR code which led people to the steady teddys application site ) , we cooked food and shared to children , neighbors and people on the street, and while doing that we spoke to them about steady teddy in a bid to convert more followers. I thought to myself, children are the leaders of tomorrow right ⁉️ but … they also forget things so easy 😂so how do I not only get their attention, but also imprint steady teddy into their memory forever ? I got to work 💪we printed steady teddys pictures and asked them to colour . We gave monetary price to the best drawing (it was a hard choice as they were all so cute 😭😂❤️) . For hours after that ,they couldn’t stopped talking about steady teddy . I have never been more proud knowing I helped build a core memory for them . i did it. i vibe-coded my own vibe-noding app⚡️ lately every ai tool has been announcing some kind of node canvas. they’re all impressive in their own way, but each one solves a different problem, with a different logic, in a different universe. some are too technical, some are too rigid, most feel like they were designed by a backend engineer. so i built the version i actually want to use. over the last few days i hacked this together with Google Gemini and Google Antigravity. the tool is absurdly capable. i didn’t touch a single line of code. the result is a fully working app with smooth ui animations, smart interactions, and a workflow that doesn’t fight me. my focus isn’t on the models. Nano Banana 2 Lite is already strong enough to generate half a universe on its own. and a year from now, we won’t care about model juggling anyway. we’ll have one model doing everything. the real problem is the workflow. the interface. the flow state. so i optimized for that. the whole point is to keep the technical junk out of the way during ideation and iteration. i want to try an idea, branch it, remix it, explore it, all on a single canvas. every block is editable. every idea is forkable. every path is visible. the design isn’t perfect yet. some of the ui patterns are familiar on purpose. good ideas deserve to be stolen. i rushed it. i let a bunch of great ui decisions die for speed. but it works. and honestly, it feels great to use. future of creating is more organic and more fluid. not just chat bubbles. not rigid feeds. but an intelligent canvas where ideas can grow, split, collapse, or evolve without friction. where the environment quietly adapts to your workflow instead of interrupting it. this is my first version. just for myself, for now. but it’s a start.

I have been testing “OpenAI” o3 mini-high. The exposure of the “reasoning” on this model in my tests seem to not be the full reasoning, but a shifted and edited and tunicated version of what we would expect from a full exposure of the reasoning engine. See the video on the left. One can compare this to my FREE Open Source local newly quantized and distilled DeepSeek R1 8b (llama). See the video on the right. Clearly we see the full reading with DeepSeek R1 and something well tunicates with o3 mini-high (getting mad typing that name folks). Compare the quality of the outputs and the reasoning insights. Frankly there is no comparison. It feels like “OpenAI” begrudgingly released the reasoning output because they had to, but gave us something of a simulated reasoning and not the actual one. Of course my local lap top running an 8b model is slower, but all of the outputs and the actual creative writing is superior on the FREE model. The reasoning output, when legitimate can be many times more valuable than the answer. In the past week I have found thousands of ways to use in in many projects. Thus far I would have been far more impressed with o3 mini if I have never seen DeepSeek. However today it is too little—too late. My fox shooting garden defending AI robot is finally done and WORKING! 🤩 (Don’t worry it only shoots 💦 water) After months of slowly moving forward with each part I finished the last step to train a TensorFlow model on the footage of the 🦊 fox I collected hours of footage 📹 with the fox roaming around my garden, from this I labeled around 2000 images with the fox by hand ✋ Honestly, I was quite skeptical training the model was actually gonna work, maybe this was partly the reason I avoided working on this until the very end. If I couldn’t train a model to detect the fox, this whole robot would never be able to function properly. On the flipside though, with no previous experience in hardware or electronics there was a bit of a learning curve and I didn’t want to end up labeling thousands of images, training a TensorFlow model, only to fail on building the hardware. As I started building, I realized that mixing hardware and software adds quite another dimension to debugging things. At times I wasted hours debugging code in my IDE, only to realize the issue was somewhere in the electronics. Furthermore, combining this side project with a full time job and a young family, is not always easy. It can be quite frustrating, to know you only need 4 hours of concentrated effort for a small task, having to spread it out across a week of 20min increments. Then, a few months into the build I noticed the fox had stopped coming to my garden, in fact one day, I recorded her walking with 3 cute little 🐶 pups, and the next day I saw her moving out of my garden completely. Did she know I was building a robot? I had this strange mix of feelings, happy my garden was safe from poop and digging, happy she was safe with her pups, but how was I gonna finish this project if my robot had no fox to detect? For sure they would be back next year, I figured I could postpone the whole thing until next winter, but I also knew it was gonna be much harder to pick up momentum if I did let it sit there for six months. So I decided to keep working, hoping the fox would reappear,.. but she never did. As I finished labeling the footage and started training my model, I could finally see the mAP results, quantifying the precision of my object detection model. It was measuring at 78% across different metrics on detecting my fox. I quickly ran the model on some of the video footage I got from my fox. Inference speed took a hit, but it did a near perfect job detecting the fox, even when she was deep down in the grass or wizzing past in a motion blur. It took me by surprise how well it worked. With the default model I had to drop my confidence threshold way down to 15%, to recognize the fox as 🦜“bird” in one or two frames, with my custom model it followed the fox all the way down to the back of the garden! Still this didn’t solve the issue of there being no actual fox in my garden and how was I gonna wrap this project in a short timeframe. I played with the idea of putting a fox toy 🧸 on an RC 🚗 car, or borrowing a dog to run around the garden to test. Friends suggested I run around the garden in a fox costume.. what a ridiculous idea. I wasn’t really feeling the idea of running around the garden in a floppy cloth fox 🎭 costume, but had a look anyway. I came across these self inflating costumes. This actually could be perfect. Since it’s inflated, it would hold its shape super well, making it much easier to label, train and be recognized by my robot. So I got the costume and shot a time lapse of myself as a fox walking around the garden. I labeled it to around 600 images. Ran the model training again and got a mAP result of 82%. This was even better than my real fox! At this point I knew this was gonna work. So here’s the final 🎥 video, just having some fun with it. I’ll update here whenever the real fox does come back. On a final note, I’m looking for (remote) jobs in these fields of AI now: - object detection - visual generative AI - 3D (nerfs + gaussian splats) So if you know anything let me know!
