The shutdown deal will reverse Trump's recent layoffs of federal workers + prohibit more from happening till end of January. I asked Karoline Leavitt if the president was involved in this decision and if he is disappointed in the reversal. Karoline Leavitt tells me the president's "main priority was to reopen the federal government" and the 6,000 laid off during the shutdown is not much in comparison to the "waste, the fraud, the abuse" rooted out since the top of the year.
