The woman at the window recording, ended up posting it on Facebook and the McDonald’s worker caught allot of backlash for the video because allot of context was missing. This happened on New Years Eve, that location was going to be closed at 8pm for the holiday, they ran out of food and stopped taking orders at 7:30 for that reason. At that point the Karen could have canceled her order in the app but refused because she felt it was unreasonable that the restaurant was closing early and ran out, she didn’t care that they couldn’t serve her what they didn’t have. So now knowing the full picture, should the McDonald’s worker still have been fired?

If you go out to pickup food at a drive through like McDonald’s or any other fast food location, is it appropriate to have to tip the person who hands you your food? Tipping is usually appropriate at a sit down restaurant where a server waits on you. I’ve even seen people tip at coffee shops for the baristas making your custom coffee orders. But to tip at a fast food window seems inappropriate, the workers aren’t making server wages. So why would it be appropriate to tip your barista but not tip the people making your food at a drive through window or is it not appropriate at all?

It pains me that McDonald’s exists. It feels like they are predators and we are all prey. McDonald’s has turned industrial food science into an addiction machine. Profiting while society grows sicker. I grew up on McDonalds. As a kid, it was the reward after a hard played game. In my teens, it’s where my friends and I would go. As an adult, it was quick, easy and nostalgic. Behind the taste, texture and smell of their food is sophisticated science of food addiction. And many studies suggest that the ingredients they use are linked to human disease and dysfunction. Future generations will be astonished that we allowed such a noxious entity to rot humanity from within.

This gentleman delivers door for a restaurant on his pedal bike. Today was different however, he was called for a deliver at a museum located in a federal building. The location is teaming with security, guards in the courtyard and at every entrance. There is even a metal detector station at one of the main entrances. They wouldn’t let him in to deliver the food, and the gentleman who ordered it isn’t answering his phone. He ended up leaving his food at the metal detector station. I feel that his ordeal was much more drawn out and longer than it should have been. Wouldn’t it be easier for all facilities like this to have a protocol for when employees order food, there is a known clear location to drop it off instead of harassing the deliver workers and treating them like criminals?

This man thought that by recording them making his food that they would give him more of it for free. All of the food is measured by their spoons that give the amount that is included in the price. When the man asks for chicken, they give him a scoop of chicken which is the amount they are supposed to give. The man felt he should have gotten more and just abandoned his order and walked away. When anybody walks in expecting free extra portions it ruins it for everyone, people online are calling for others to start orders and walking away that way they have to throw away all of the food they wasted which will lead to the restaurant losing money which isn’t sustainable. Do you feel this approach is the best way or should they get used to getting the standard portions?

These friends all live together in an apartment with another roommate. He does the bare minimum around the apartment, he refuses to chip in for the food or utilities that he uses, they tried to be reasonable with him but they don’t feel it’s fair that he always eats their food without replacing it. He even uses their razors and soaps in the restroom. So today a few of the roommates have decided they have had enough. They are locking up all of the supplies and food he likes to use, was this a fair move or should they just have booted him because we all know he’s not gonna pay extra for their food he eats. Wouldn’t you just stop keeping your food in the kitchen?

This man was always excited about Skyline Chili, he’s heard from co-workers how good it was and always wanted to. On his day he happened to be in the vicinity of one and decided to try it out. Immediately when he walked in, he wasn’t greeted at all, in fact they ignored him. The cashier that begrudgingly took his order seemed forced and was bothered by having to serve him. He felt like they made it a point make him feel unwelcome. He ordered the food for dine in, waited a while for it and saw that they packed it in bags to go, further emphasizing how not welcome he was, determined to get the full experience, he sat and ate. He noticed his food was intentionally watered down and disgusting. He was very underwhelmed by this. He was still so upset about being treated so poorly, he left his food and left the restaurant.
