They’ve officially released the closing credit sequence from The Odyssey. It’s incredibly powerful to end this cinematic experience on such a thoughtful, emotional tone poem, with Nolan’s relatively more subdued, yet still lovely, visuals backed by Göransson’s ever-amazing music.

The flashback sequence at the end of The Godfather Part II might be the most powerful sequence in the entire trilogy. This was an amazing creative decision by Coppola & speaks to this sequel’s editing. I also agree with the choice to not include Brando here- it’s more powerful.

You don't have to be a musician to learn from sheet music. You just need to understand a simple concept: when the note goes up on the staff, the tone gets higher. When the note goes down on the staff, the tone gets lower. Here is a Sonata in C Major by Mozart from the book I still have since I was a child. First I follow along with the top melody played by the right hand, then the harmony played by the left. This makes your brain focus on the 2 different parts, and it's fun to follow the form of the music. Let me know what you think. ☺️ Is it helpful?

(It’s technically the closing salvo of The Communist Manifesto, but I always think Black Liberation Army first.) Treat this for what it is. Political grooming with a revolutionary aesthetic, conditioning the next generation to see politics as spite, spectacle, and the sanctification of violence. Freedom Road Socialist Organization and its network were on the ground, helping set the tone.
