Today I addressed all Lagos NURTW branch Excos and visited 3 Local Governments areas as part of my APC-Registration excercise monitoring tour. I commend the chairmen of Lagos Mainland, Mushin and Ojodu Local Government for their support to the process, all of them providing extra tabs and printers for the exercise. Also grateful to the Lagos NURTW chairman Segho for mobilising all his branch leadership for us to engage, and endorsing the process. We received feedbacks on how to enhance the process and assured them this would be included in my tour report to the NWC/the National Chairman and the Governor. The tour will continue to other Local government across Lagos and we will also work with the NURTW and other stakeholders to ensure they canvass their members to be part of this process.

After the war, they invited the Igbos to come to Yoruba land and live in peace. They saw them as brothers. Yorubas even paid for the protection of Igbos in IDP camps. They looked after their properties and returned them once the fighting stopped. They allocated land so Igbos could start businesses and made sure to patronise them. A Yoruba landlord would often rent to an Igbo person before one of his own people because he understood the struggle they’d been through.
