I was highly skeptical that putting frozen meat between two metal pots would drastically decrease the time it takes to defrost it, so I asked Grok. Grok assured me that metal conducts room temp heat better and doing this from both sides does speed up the thaw. So I tried it... and I was surprised to find that it worked, but not quite as fast as the 15 minutes the original video promised. You can see how long it took me to thaw a 1 lb block of breakfast sausage from Independence Ark Farm at the end of the video.

I hope Leighton Flowers doesn’t mind me sharing this, but he was doing a celebratory livestream for reaching 100k YouTube subscribers when he got the news of Voddie’s passing. You can see his heart break before uttering a tearful prayer and ending the stream. I choked up watching this, and walked away convicted that I should strive to have such a loving heart as he does.
