I swear I never would come across people who owned a dedicated rewind machine. We just did it via the VCR.

Brother you know Gen Z started in 1997 right? We used a huge portion of Millennial stuff. Millennial's are like boomers except they're worse cause they know we had what they had and pretend we didn't.

Pro Tip: Teach your kids to pirate and they'll never go without again.

I’m currently working on getting a setup like that again, piece by piece, but by bit. Especially now, with people’s digital purchases being revoked.

I never knew a vhs tape rewinder was a product... Did people really buy those? Just rewind it in the player when you start or finish the movie

The other day I forgot which button was the eject button for 10 seconds 😭😂

VHS, though, probably should just be preserved as relics because they tend to wear out much sooner than, say DVD. Same thing for audio cassettes compared to CDs

It's interesting hearing about millennial parents who are limiting iPad use and introducing VHSs and how it's turned them from like antisocial goblins into normal kids with a sense of patience because you have rewind them and put them in and shit.

Never in my life saw someone that had a tape rewinder. That's rich folk shit.

As someone who grew up in the transition age between vhs and DVDs, I didnt know there was a device solely dedicated to rewinding it 🤔 I always thought that was just a function of the taoe player

Should explain to them the importance of Friday-Saturday Pizza weekends with a 90's hit movie kids loved or a adult movie a kid snuck out, video game multiplayer beside each other from competitive to co-op and the nightly board game whether it was D&D or Pokemon Master Trainer.

Really acting like Gen Z doesn’t know what VHS despite consuming lots of Media from the 80s and 90s. Also Gen Z helped create modern Analog Horror which regularly uses and references technology from the 80s and 90s.

Dialed rotary telephone, phone line internet, limewire, encyclopedias, research papers where you had to find the info in books and to reference them to steer clear of plagiarism. Rice burner vs Mopar, manual shift vehicles, cell phones and tablets did not exist, watching 9/11

Bro you're turning into your parents. The same boomers posting "we drank from hoses and huffed lead paint and leaded gas and we were fine!" or "kids will never understand how this works" with a picture of a cassette/record player. Come on
