During the proceedings, Timpakgolo Julius Sello Malema had cautioned the committee about her visible breakdowns, raising concern that her mental state was not adequately assessed. He argued that it was improper for the committee to proceed under such conditions, and criticised its failure to take necessary steps to evaluate her fitness to testify. The committee refused to listen to Superior Logic.
