I thought it was an Indian street food video at first

None. It doesn’t float you mope

actually very little if he's panning for gold. I just did this in Alaska a few months ago, and the gold is heavier than everything else and stays at the bottom. The goal is to get all the other rocks out of the pan.

I imagine somebody that tweets has more knowledge on gold mining than this gold digger that does it 12 hours a day for the last 10 years

I’d have anxiety that one of those big rocks I toss aside was the nugget sent to change my life 😂

reason number 4,231 that Africa never built anything modern on their own. they can't comprehend sifters.

And that’s how mustard is made boys and girls!

This dudes a friggen legend.

Gold sinks to the bottom! It is heavier than the dirt!!!

That's not how gravity works.

You’ve obviously never panned gold. A couple of taps and nuggets are at the bottom. You might lose a little floating micron gold but artisanal miners don’t care about this.

Wow! They’ve come a long way since those evil colonizers left

@grok is this an efficient way of sifting for gold?

That’s discipline

Likely very little gold was lost. The black sand at the bottom of the pan is 8 times heavier than water, the gold 16 times heavier. You can be pretty aggressive if you have the technique down.

Where is he? Coordinates please 🙂

Whypepo don season dey food

this is gold mining?

Looking for the pay off as he washed it away over and over

some guy is doing this so another person can eat a kara plated steak?

Yeah for real 😳

He probably only lost 99.9%, so it's not a total loss

Most people can recover close to 100% with panning.

This is Tin minning very common here in jos pleateu state Nigeria

That’s the most impatient panning I’ve ever seen.

Is this another Indian making street food or is he bathing?

He still has more than me!

Possibilities are endless

I see a lot of ppl never watch gold rush

Have watched a lot of these videos on youtube and have wondered how much they would recover with a decent sluice box. Makes me want to go to Indonesia and play in the mud all day - better than the mire of so-called civilization and its sterility.

Depending on the “type” of gold in the pay, an experienced professional can maintain >90-95% recovery rate with this technique. Attempting higher rates with the same technique reduces overall efficiency to the point of a loss in diminishing returns.

@grok is this real?

Almost all

Even if that happens I would at the end of the day sift the stuff right under the place where he is moving his pan.

1 bowl full & u can leave that life
