The drug culture spread by the Grateful Dead is not a great thing to model to our youth. But they are a part of the Eugene culture. Hopefully fading rapidly, which this marketing plan didn’t help. Eugene: the last bastion of the terminally hip.—Wall Street Journal, 1980 or so
