For a show that was brave enough to allocate so many assets on a henshin sequence back then, maybe they really wanted to make sure people saw clearly it was her transforming without any window for confusion. (??) Once you set a standard, you can always ask, but what if MORE?!?

Yeah! I think they wanted to make it feel familiar but at the same time have it be a level up

yeah in my opinion the transformation sequence ( even the original english version that censored her boobs... no really in the japanese version (( thanks recent dvd releases for this )) you can see her boobs ... then again she's 14 later 15 why do i care * is 36 ) just gets tbc

I really wish they had kept to this style going forward. Cosmic was pretty whimsical with the heart becoming the skirt, Crisis was beautiful, dual Crisis was kind of touching, Eternal was nearly perfect but they should have had her spin around fully.
