Probably the only time the architect pogo was good for platforming. Only way this could have been more impressive is with the Beast crest, but people who main Beast are a different kind of monster…

this part was so damn good, it's been years since a moment in a video game had me clinched up as much as this sequence. i mean nothing was escaping my body until i made it out of that area

Siksong has those chase sequences I hated in the Ori games too? Bleh. Why can't we get Metroidvanias where enemy combat is the sole or primary danger, and the environment's just there to be the world you're exploring/experiencing and to add variety to the combat encounters. Defeating enemies is always about ten times more fun and rewarding than getting past spikes or lava without touching them.
