I can’t believe civilization is functioning sometimes

@codexeditor A fabulous series. Sir Kenneth Clark was a scholar and gentleman of the old school and a delightful host.

"Civilization can be destoyed... What are its enemies?.. Fear. Fear of war or fear of invasion or fear of plague. Fears that make it simply not worthwhile constructing things." How perceptive.

@JenKteach Over the decades it has struck me how easily the complex webs which allow our civilisation to function, would be to disrupt by some hostile actor if the security of the State was not rigorously maintained The present government does not imbue the confidence required

@CanadianWheats It’s the best documentary I’ve ever seen. You will look at the world differently after watching it.

Import the third world become the third world.

Cheers Bobbie - what a revelatory series that was.😎🥰🥰
