Thinking back to the Creator Classic yesterday…hard to believe that really happened, in the best way. I’ve been working in golf for the better part of a decade now. If you’d have told me 5 years ago that the PGA Tour would turn over East Lake the day before... the Tour Championship to a bunch of content people I’d have laughed at you. What a day. Kwon practicing next to Tommy Fleetwood, the Bryan Bros getting a last-minute pep talk from Scottie, and thousands of fans coming out in 100 degree heat to hang out. That’s really what it was—a big party celebrating this new community in our game. It was amazing to see up-close the connection they all have with the fans. Didn’t see a creator turn down a single autograph or photo op or interview all day. This is what growing the game looks like. Hell of an effort from everyone involved. Feeling really grateful to be a small part of it. Something tells me that won’t be the last time. Just so much fun.show more

This was a snoozefest and giant miss by everyone involved. Wesley and Luke are not content creators. They are pro golfers. Why not just let Bryson play? What makes the actual "creators" relevant and interesting is not 8 holes of stroke play. No personality out there at all.

Scottie Scheffler was asked ahead of the BMW Championship his thoughts on the new changes coming on the PGA Tour and whether he’d like to see any of the LIV players back. On the incoming changes, he said: “Getting the best players competing against each other more often is what we want as players. I assume, you guys in the media, that’s what you’d want to see. I assume that’s what the fans want as well and I think that’s the direction that we’re heading. “Making things a bit simpler in terms of who’s going to be at what tournament at what time. Golf has always been a difficult game to rank when you’re not playing head to head, and so getting the best players playing head to head more often than not in a proper tournament is, I think, the best way to do things.” He then was asked whether he’d like to see the PGA Tour offering LIV Golf players the same opportunity to return that was given to Brooks Koepka earlier this year: “Yeah, I think, when we talk about the best players, LIV has a few players that are really good. Did you just see it too? The car in question just vanished. There were reports from other drivers that claim the same thing at this intersection. They all saw a car driving on the road and all of a sudden it wasn’t there anymore. The car in question reminds me of a 1950’s Belair, it looks so out of place for today’s day and age. I do see some of them on the road every once in a while and that’s why they stick out to me so much. I’m not saying this is a haunted road or this is even paranormal, however I have heard of these residual style occurrences happening. If that was the case maybe this was where the original owner had an accident and it plays out over and over throughout the years at random. Have you ever seen anything like this before? What would you do if you saw this? I think I would keep coming back so I can see it again, events like this fascinate me.

Yeah, maybe the format was a set back in the past, but at the same time there’s a lot of positives to it as well. And one of the things that a lot of players kept mentioning is you don’t have a wave weather difference, where you can simply get unlucky and you’re out of contention for that tournament. Yeah, maybe the format was a set back in the past, but at the same time there’s a lot of positives to it as well. And one of the things that a lot of players kept mentioning is you don’t have a wave weather difference, where you can simply get unlucky and you’re out of contention for that tournament. It’s part of the game, I get it, but it’s something you don’t have to deal with anymore. So that part is a very nice aspect. The team is what really made it for me. Being able to be part of a team, represent a team, play for my teammates, with my teammates and against my teammates, is something that to me that has always been very, very special. When you get a victory to share, it’s always better to have a team to share it with. So it’s what was the most attractive part and when we started discussions it gets to a point where even though I’m ambitious, I’m not greedy. So there’s a give and take and the format is something that I can easily overlook, and I’m pretty sure I can learn to enjoy it, I’ll just have to get used to it, but I’m pretty sure I’ll learn to enjoy it. To be honest, the more I started thinking about it, the more I started thinking about my college days that were 3 day tournaments, 54 holes, and everybody warmed up together for the most part.
