Thinking back to the Creator Classic yesterday…hard to believe that really happened, in the best way. I’ve been working in golf for the better part of a decade now. If you’d have told me 5 years ago that the PGA Tour would turn over East Lake the day before...

Crazy all of the happened because Phil Mickelson had a gambling problem.

Dan, tell them next year to mic up the players and be themselves. That's part of the appeal of YT golfers. That's all that was missing in my book.

Explain why there was a mandatory playoff. Wesley shot the lowest score. Why doesn't Wesley win the event? Also, why eight holes? East Lake events love giving trophies to people who don't shoot the lowest score. 😌

It was cool. Helps legitimize some of the talent on YouTube golf, for those that doubted it. Still growth ahead

Is this on YouTube or somewhere to watch?

This was a snoozefest and giant miss by everyone involved. Wesley and Luke are not content creators. They are pro golfers. Why not just let Bryson play? What makes the actual "creators" relevant and interesting is not 8 holes of stroke play. No personality out there at all.

I agree. It was terrific to watch too. Just shows what can be achieved with a bit of imagination.

Here is the actual GOP candidate for President of the United States attempting to say something about Mark Zuckerberg which is literally all I can figure out from this 90-SECOND LONG SENTENCE. 😵‍💫 “So Mark Zuckerberg called me first of all he called me a few times she called me after the event that he said that was really amazing it was very brave and you know and he actually announced he's not going to support a Democrat because he can't because he respected me for what I did that day I think what I did maybe was a norm to me it was a normal response but I was called by Mark Zuckerberg yesterday the day before on this same subject and he actually apologized he said they made a mistake etc etc in the correcting mistake a Google nobody called from Google one of the things I do in a show like yours you you show you know you see them Fox but what you really see it is all over the place they take clips of your show that you're doing right now with me and if I do a good job they're going to vote for me they're going to vote for me because it's not just on Fox it's on Fox is a smaller part of it you're on all over this those little beautiful cell phones you're on you're all over the place you have a product you have a great product you have a great brand so you have to get out you have to get out you have to do things like your show and other shows and Google has been very bad they've been very irresponsible and I have a feeling that Google isn't going to be close to shut down because I don't think Congress is going to take it I really don't think so Google has to be careful now I will say this I believe Mark Zuckerberg he called me so he called me a lot they are working and I think they fixed it but what can he's not doing what he did four years ago with the five hundred million dollars I don't believe.”

LIV Golf have sold nearly 100,000 tickets for their first ever event in South Africa, putting it on track to comfortably be the best attended golf event ever held in the country. Charl Schwartzel spoke about the growth of LIV Golf since their inaugural event in 2022: “Yeah, I mean, that first event in June in 2022, there was a lot of turmoil in our sport, a lot of uncertainty. Obviously it was coming from guys that had come to LIV. Nobody was sure what to expect… “But from a LIV standpoint, it's been fantastic to be part of it, to see how it's grown, gotten better. Every year they improve. “We've had a taste of it every year in Adelaide, where you can see what it can be, because that's like the pinnacle of the LIV events. Now just to see what we've created here in South Africa, it makes you very proud to see. This is fantastic. “I don't think there's any -- there's never been a golfing event in South Africa that's ever been set up like this, and I don't think many sporting events here. This is really amazing, and it's sort of a great -- to have seen, and like I said, proud to be a part of it, that's what we thought and what we were told it could be when we signed up with LIV, and it's really come to life. It's amazing.” LIV Golf Adelaide is currently the premier event on the league attracting 77,000 fans in 2023 for the first playing and 115,000 this year. With LIV Golf South Africa immediately approaching 100,000 in the first season, there is a real rivalry between the two countries to be the biggest event on the LIV Golf League. Jon Rahm on the LIV format: “Yeah, obviously there’s been a bit of a change. There was a lot more about LIV Golf that was attractive to me, right. Yeah, maybe the format was a set back in the past, but at the same time there’s a lot of positives to it as well. And one of the things that a lot of players kept mentioning is you don’t have a wave weather difference, where you can simply get unlucky and you’re out of contention for that tournament. It’s part of the game, I get it, but it’s something you don’t have to deal with anymore. So that part is a very nice aspect. The team is what really made it for me. Being able to be part of a team, represent a team, play for my teammates, with my teammates and against my teammates, is something that to me that has always been very, very special. When you get a victory to share, it’s always better to have a team to share it with. So it’s what was the most attractive part and when we started discussions it gets to a point where even though I’m ambitious, I’m not greedy. So there’s a give and take and the format is something that I can easily overlook, and I’m pretty sure I can learn to enjoy it, I’ll just have to get used to it, but I’m pretty sure I’ll learn to enjoy it. To be honest, the more I started thinking about it, the more I started thinking about my college days that were 3 day tournaments, 54 holes, and everybody warmed up together for the most part. So it shouldn’t be an environment I’m unfamiliar with.” This is from the LIV podcast called “Fairway to Heaven”. Full link:

Trump on World Cup: Trump: All I did was ask for a review because I didn’t think it was a foul. And I think it would have been terrible if they wouldn’t allow, you know, a top player—maybe the best, maybe among the best players on the team—to play. I think it would have had a big stain, How would you feel if we took Messi out? You know, “Messi, you ran into somebody.” Or we took Ronaldo out. “Ronaldo, you bumped into somebody. We’re going to take you out of the game.” Or Harry Kane. “Harry Kane, we’re going to take you out of the game, Harry, because you happened to hit somebody a little bit harder.” You can’t do that. If you would have taken him out, I think it would have really stained this incredible championship. We’ve got to have our best players, and Belgium has a great team, by the way. We have to have our best players, and they have to have their best players. If we win or we lose, it’s fair. Otherwise, let’s say we lost him and we lose the game—it would be a terrible thing. So I think they made a really brilliant decision. I think the referee’s call was horrible, and nobody talks about that. They talk about the red card like it’s fine. Nobody talks about the referee’s decision to issue the red card. I didn’t know what the hell a red card was. When I found out, I said, “You’ve got to be kidding.” This guy just holds it up: “OK, your best player is not going to play in the next game.” I said, “Wow, that’s a lot of power. That’s terrible.” But then I looked at his past, and it wasn’t so great.

Asked Cheryl Reeve what it means to her to see the outpouring of support on pride nights in the WNBA (quoted it al because it’s an incredibly powerful quote) Thank you Rob from Chester, Pa for posting the video 🤝🙏 “It makes me reflect on… back when we weren’t really embracing things like our gay population at the games, it was considered a knock on the product. Once we really started leaning into it and embracing it and saying “this is a big part of the reason the WNBA was finding success”. No question about it it’s a welcoming place, for everyone… LGBTQ plus has been such a big part of the growth of the W, they were there from day one, and I’m happy we lean into it now…. The WNBA, why I love it so much, I knew my first year in 2001 when I was coaching, I came out of college coaching where you had to be closeted, at that time in the 90s. Because it was used against you in recruiting, and you would have code words or maybe not, maybe more direct “do you want that lesbian coaching your daughter?” Or maybe men were perceived not to be gay so it was considered a more family atmosphere. There was so many things that were happening to us and didn’t get jobs if maybe you had that label. In the WNBA I felt so able to be myself and it was so incredibly liberating. And not a day in the WNBA, I have not walked and felt comfortable in my own skin. Every single day. The league is for everybody, we embrace everybody regardless of gender identity or political beliefs or whatever it is, the WNBA is incredibly special and has always been special to me”
