It will forever boggle my mind that after the success of Zep/Sabbath/Purple in the States, bands like Lizzy (minus Jailbreak), Rainbow and UFO didn't enjoy the same US success. This is an S-tier live performance with my guy just spitting fire.

This.
Proving yet again that Brian Downey is one of the most underrated drummers. During those years Lizzy were virtually untouchable as a hard rock band.

This is the song that is so Maiden that Maiden actually covered it and it sounds like an original. Going thru Lizzy’s catalog for the first time recently there were so many riffs and things that Maiden lifted it made me realize that no band is ever original lol.

That is why they are the greatest band of all time. Infinitely more powerful than any rubbish over amped heavy metal.

Never realized how much Robert smith borrowed from Phil vocally Incredible

The man’s lyrics were pure poetry.

Thin Lizzy was pivotal by bringing hard rock to metal in terms of heavyness and speed

Great song and it had a noteworthy cover version as well.

“Did you know life is in the sperm? When you read “seed” in scripture it actually means “sperma”. Did you know Luke 3 says that Adam was the son of God but Adam’s lineage never mentions Cain? Jews trace lineage through their mothers—because they always do opposite to God’s will.”
