What does it feel like to realize that, in your little boy’s eyes, you are one of the most important people in the entire world? There's something special about having a young son who looks up to you as a dad. At that age, Dad can seem almost larger than life. He is the guy who can fix things, reach the high shelf, carry the heavy stuff, answer the impossible questions, and somehow make an ordinary afternoon feel like an adventure. And half the time, he probably has no idea just how closely his son is watching him. A little boy does not need his dad to be perfect. He just wants to be around him. He wants to follow him around the house, help with whatever he is doing, wear his old hat, imitate the way he talks, and eventually say, “Dad, can I come with you?” The little moments can seem insignificant when they happen, are sometimes the moments that fathers remember years later.
