I worked for Oracle corporation in their tech support department a number of years back. I was a technical support engineer on One of the Oracle database support teams. This was at a location in the United States. The building I worked in was entirely dedicated to a number of different technical support teams supporting various Oracle enterprise software products. The staff in the building was at least 50% Indian, super majority on H1B. Once hired on the database support team it was mandatory to get the Oracle database certification within a certain timeframe. The company gave you several weeks of dedicated study and then you'd take the exam. Everyone used brain dumps. Everyone. Managers handed brain dump material out. Oracle corporate reimbursed you if you bought brain dump training material. For those of you unaware, a brain dump is basically the actual questions and answers on the actual test. So you'd just buy the Q&As, memorize them, then go take the test and pass with flying colors. You could do that in a very short timeframe. I'll repeat: Everyone did it. Managers handed out and recommended brain dumps to purchase material From. The company reimbursed you for purchased Brain dump material. The Americans on these teams had to cheat with brain dumps because you'd look stupid and slow if you didn't, and you'd also risk losing your job if you didn't pass the test in time. Everyone else on your team would pass the test with flying colors very quickly. If you didn't do the same you'd look like a slow, incompetent moron. The H1B system has rampant cheating and fraud.

@herandrews @ISI 2003 CSU Chico: I watched a Computer Networks midterm exam become a total cheating free-for-all. Half Indians in class, all blatantly trading answers with one another, talking in their language. I'd never seen anything like it. It was a comical spectacle.

The time for the peddling of comfortable nostrums by the liberal elite has long since passed. For Jeremy Hunt to limit his observations about immigration to platitudes about taking in the “best and brightest” from around the world, ignoring the enormous issues of safety, integration of migrants and community relations, is completely inadequate. Immigration remains in the hundreds of thousands every year. Meanwhile the concerns about multiculturalism remain completely unaddressed. When will we finally drop this stuff and tackle the issues raised by immigration head on?
