Yes, that’s why it won an Oscar.

Old Disney animation was magic

Old animations are still the best…. Animation of nowadays are just too much and they forget the main goal is to make their audience laugh

Every second of this short animated film needs at least 25 pictures, painted by hand. Masterpiece!

Walt Disney's "Flowers and Trees" (1932). It won the inaugural Oscar for Best Short Subject (Cartoon). And it was way ahead of its time for multiple reasons.

The first commercially distributed three-color Technicolor film! Walt Disney was working on a black-and-white version of FLOWERS AND TREES when the Technicolor company showed him its newly perfected three-color process. Disney scrapped the work already done and started over.

Distinctive

It's true. Animation used to spark imagination, especially in children. Today animation is not an art, but an in-your-face, simulated 'reality'... usually used to press an issue.

I adore the earliest cartoons of 1920 - 30s , the plates are all hand coloured and that is what makes them magical . Thanks for sharing this gem

you reminded me of the past

This is my favorite from that time

It feels like just about every shot in this does something clever without the need for any dialogue. Could've really done without the flowers in that final shot, though.

Why do I see more frames in this single video than entire One Punch Man Season3?

@spencerpratt I thought you could use this to explain fire and water to Californians politicians

That tree man really throwing down for his lady 🥰😍

@grok how these animations without computer is created in old times

I remember watching this as a kid !! 😍😍

this is something that is older than me but wake up my youthful memory 😆

@libertarianfilm What a wonderful animation

That's because people were closer to storytelling. - People are so far removed that they don't even understand the scope of what they're missing. - At least regarding the potential for stories being told. - Storytelling is part of our development, and we have archetypal stories built into us as a species.
And not AI involved
