CBC discussing travel between Canada and the U.S. once again. Travel by Canadians to the U.S. & vice versa is UP when crossing the border by car, air travel is a bit down. But of course CBC won’t mention the high cost of air travel having anything to do with it. Just wait until the end where the CBC host slips in Canadians aren’t rushing to go to the U.S. ? But stats Canada just said travel was up. Gotta keep those elbows up.

WHY WE STORMED THE OPERATIONS OF THREE DOEMSTIC AIRLINES Yesterday, Monday, my team and I stormed the Abuja operations of three domestic airlines; Xejet, Rano Air, and United Nigeria Airline. While we understand the unique challenges of December per flight disruptions, airlines MUST provide the necessary care for passengers at a time like this. We have observed that most airlines do not provide timely, honest information, and that they try to evade the provision of light refreshments two hours into a delay, as stipulated by Part 19 of the NCAA Regulations 2023. The NCAA finds this unacceptable as has given an ultimatum to the airlines (not limited to these 3). We are watching, and action will be taken where necessary.

According to data from the Association of Tour Operators of Russia, since the beginning of May, flight cancellations have affected at least 200,000 passengers - that is, one in every ten people who traveled by air. The number keeps growing.

Passengers say they were informed after boarding that only ONE bathroom was working on the aircraft. Mid-flight, someone threw up in the sink, rendering the last restroom unusable and leaving 100+ passengers with ZERO working toilets on an international flight. With no way to resolve the situation and passengers unable to hold it any longer, the crew declared a biohazard and made the call to DIVERT THE PLANE TO CANCUN. Not because of weather. Not because of a mechanical failure. All due to a biohazard caused by failed bathrooms. This happened in international airspace with an unplanned landing in another country. All because basic systems broke down. Is this acceptable air travel, or has flying officially turned into survival mode?
