ICE operates under laws requiring removal of those here illegally—even with citizen children. The real issue? Bureaucrats rubber-stamp deportation orders without ensuring proper safeguards. These mothers had removal judgments issued in absentia, bypassing due process. If the system worked, cases involving critically ill children would trigger automatic judicial review. Instead, we get rushed deportations and paperwork claiming parental consent. Fix the process: mandate in-person hearings for all cases involving minors, require ICE to coordinate with Health and Human Services on medical transfers, and hold agencies accountable for procedural shortcuts. No more "lost" court dates or phantom paperwork. Lawful enforcement requires transparency, not secrecy.
